The NY TImes on the Christie associate Bill Stepien:

"Bill Stepien has not broken any laws,” the lawyer, Kevin H. Marino, wrote, arguing that the subpoena violates his client’s rights against self-incrimination and unreasonable search and seizure. “He is one of the most well-respected political consultants in America.”

Heh….that is brilliantly funny in a way that also makes me want to pound my head on the nearest desk. I love the smell of irony in the morning.

PS. I gather that by "laws" the attorney means…er, well, that's a bit unclear.

This reminds me of a joke my uncle told me about an argument about a piece of equipment:

"It was in good condition when I returned it; I never borrowed it in the first place, and anyway, it was already broken when you lent it to me."
